Rancho Temescal Thoroughbred Partners was established in 2023 to provide owners with the opportunity to compete at the highest levels of racing alongside like-minded partners, while still preserving a significant percentage of ownership and hands-on involvement.

It’s predecessor, Red Baron’s Barn and Rancho Temescal, ranked among California’s leading owners for more than a decade. During that time, they earned multiple leading-owner titles at both Santa Anita and Del Mar and campaigned numerous graded stakes winners, highlighted by Grade 1 standouts Dr. Schivel and River Boyne.

Recognizing that long-term success in racing requires both quality and depth, Rancho Temescal Thoroughbred Partners offers participants the chance to retain meaningful ownership across an annual portfolio of top-class horses. The results were immediate: in their inaugural year, RTTP campaigned Chatalas (by Gun Runner), a multiple graded stakes winner who captured the “Win and You’re In” Chandelier Stakes and went on to compete in the Breeders’ Cup.

With a primary focus on sourcing elite prospects from Europe, RTTP has already competed in many of the nation’s premier stakes races in just its first two years of operation.
